The main objective of the friends is to assist the William Salt Library’s preservation programme, and help with improvements to the Liabrary’s facilities in terms of purchase of stock, improvements to storage facilities and conservation.<\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n The Friends of the William Salt Library play a vital role in supporting the preservation of this unique and special library, which forms a vital part of Staffordshire\u2019s documentary and printed heritage.<\/strong><\/p>\n Through an annual programme of various social events, the Friends raise valuable funds to assist the Library in the ongoing task of preserving and conserving its collections and in the acquisition of new publications about Staffordshire.
